Dimensions
This ground has just hosted a couple of T20Is, where India posted 260 runs in the first match. Recently, this ground hosted the games of the Road Safety World Series where the average score was 159 runs. With all being said, this is an excellent pitch to bat on, and the captains would prefer to chase upon winning the toss.
A total of 9 IPL matches have been played here, where 8 games were won by the chasing teams. The average 1st innings score was just 160 runs, it does not justify the surface. The team batting first will aim to score above 190 runs as any total is chasable here at this ground.

Pitch & Condition
First thing to draw your attention to, it’s a small stadium. 63 metres in the off side, 60 metres on the leg side. It’s always a good pitch in Indore, this is one of the surfaces where the bowler’s wouldn’t want to bowl at. There are a few cracks that could help them, but the size of the ground is a worry. Even a few mishits could end up out of the ground. The team winning the toss will want to chase here. If you’re batting first, you atleast need to score more than 180, says Pommie Mbangwa in the company of Ajit Agarkar..
Toss Prediction
It’s a high-pressure game, and running around the board can be important. However, the second hit is often the mantra in the shortest format of the game. Given the conditions and importance of the game, we want the captain who won the draw to start the game first.

Team Analysis
India
Either Rishabh Pant or Suryakumar Yadav could expect a temporary promotion to open alongside Rohit Sharma for the game. Iyer should get some game time finally, ahead of the ODI leg of this white-ball series while one of Siraj or Umesh will make up the XI.
South Africa
The tourists could also ring in a change in their top-order to alleviate their batting woes. Either of the in-form pair of Heinrich Klaasen or Reeza Hendricks could get a look-in after spending the first two games on the bench.
