Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad
Dimensions
Queen’s Park Oval is generally thought of as the most picturesque of the old grounds in the West Indies. It is also the largest, accommodating 25,000 spectators in comfort. Home of the Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) since 1896, it hosted the English teams touring the West Indies early in 1897 one under Lord Hawke, the other under Arthur Priestley. The capacity of the ground has made it most profitable (holding at least 7000 more than any other ground in the West Indies)

Pitch & Condition
The Queens Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad is a well-balanced course. Over the past 20 games, the field has had an average first-inning completion rate of 140. The team that bats first on this field wins 45% of games, so a tie doesn’t make much of a difference here. The team that wins the tie can choose to bat or bowl depending on the ground conditions today.
Expect a temperature of about 25.9°C and a humidity of about 85%. Wind speed is expected to be 2.4 m/s. Light rain is expected, which may affect race conditions.
Toss Prediction
The team that wins the toss will want to field first.

Team Analysis
Jamaica Tallawahs
Jamaica Tarawa have had a very good run in the 2022 CPL and even the few games they lost are close. Their captain, Roffman Powell, led with 200 points in five innings, including 15 sixes and 13 fours. Brandon King and Raymon Riefer are the Tallawahs’ two second-best scorers.
While Kennell Lewis and Amir Jangu have some promising shots, the depth of the batting lineup is an issue. The Tallwahs could be in trouble if King and Powell can’t continue their consistent runs.
With the ball, Mohammad Amir is the real star of the show. He’s played fast, has 10 wickets to his credit, and is the most frugal of all bowlers. Imad Wasim and Chris Green actively support him.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots
SNP will be very disappointed with the performance of its leading players so far. Only one of the six games (two of which was rainy) put SNP in a very difficult position. Andre Fletcher has only one racket over 100 runs in CPL 2022, while every other racket is struggling.
Players like Evin Lewis, Dewald Brevis, Sherfane Rutherford and Darren Bravo can all be beat, but they seem to be stuck. You can never rule out a player of this quality, but SNP is clearly a team that has struggled to gain a foothold this season.
The bowling lineup wasn’t much better either. Rashid Khan is ready to play and his presence has added tremendous quality, but the likes of Jansen, Dananjaya, Bravo and Cottrell also need to play their part.
SNP appears to be a team fighting against the big names of the past that are now past their prime.
